55 year old Chicago native considered a BLUES aficionado since the 7Th grade. Admiration for this emotional, raw, sensitive, expressive music art form is due to its 'Rhythm of the Heart' letting us know we are not alone in our own experiences. For example...
"...You're evil when you're with me babe & you are jealous when we're far..." or "...I let you stay in my penthouse, you said it was a shack...I gave you 7 children and now you wanna' give 'em back..." (BB King)
Remember..."The Blues had a baby & they called it Rock-n-Roll & if you don't like it you've gotta' hole in your soul..."
The beat tends to be favorable among your high end burlesque acts. With this genre as a preference all compassionate music is appreciated...from Buddy Guy to Amadeus Mozart...!

As a new member, this was my 3rd SCBS event and no less amazing than the other two! I had a great time and the way everyone kept a positive attitude and rolled with the punches (which weren’t that bad) was a testimony to how much we were there to enjoy the music and to recognize the cause. I think you all did a fabulous job making the best of the situation and again – I had an incredible evening and enjoyed every Diva that performed immensely. As soon as the show started the mood changed! Great job and thank you to all the wonderful ladies that performed. I can’t wait for the next one….however, I will definitely dress it up next time!!! Those Divas looked great!

Can’t wait for more.

You guys are a great organization. I've been to the last three shows and thought they were tremendous. Its good to see a blues society actually promoting real authentic blues for once!

From Marlene: I would like to express our gratitude for your hard work at putting on a wonderful afternoon of great music. The venue is incredibly beautiful and such a nice treat to be away from the concrete and madening crowds. Debbie did a great job booking the artists and the barbeque lady's food was awesome and enjoyed by all (nice treat, but, definitely heart attack waiting to happen cuisine, yum!).

Thank you again, we will be signing up with the society and possibly I can help out as a volunteer in the future
